Matthew 15:32-39 At first, Jesus' miracle of feeding the 4,000 (Matthew 15:32-39; Mark 8:1-10) may seem to be the same as the one He performed for 5,000 (Matthew 14:13-21; Mark 6:30-44; Luke 9:10-17; John 6:1-15).They do have a few similarities: Jesus multiplies loaves and fish; a multitude is fed; the disciples are skeptical; and they collect leftovers. We saw on similar before, with the feeding of the 5000. Answer: Aside from the resurrection, the story of Jesus feeding the 5,000 is the only miracle recorded in all four Gospels.Obviously, the Gospel writers considered this a significant miracle. As he breaks the bread to feed the 4000, a black crow sees 8 crumbs falling and he swoops down and lights on the arm of Jesus and eats the 8 crumbs. Although the people accept Jesus as a prophet, they associate His miracle of feeding the 5000 with the miracles of Moses, (when the Children of Israel received "manna" on a daily basis).
